This page gives you an overview of the step-by-step guides introducing you to the many options of the FiQu budgeting app. You don’t have to study all guides to get started. The FiQu app is designed for playing around and finding out for yourself which functions best suit your needs for financial insight. But do come back here if you have any questions.
- Create an account. FiQu needs at least one account set up to capture transactions.
- Add a transaction, either an expsense or income.
- Import many transactions in one go from a file. Either a .CSV downloaded from your bank or a file you prepared in the FiQu spreadsheet format.
- Use graphs to understand where your money goes to, how much comes in and what remains (or not) as savings.
- Set budgets per category or other cross-section of your expenses, to monitor your spending.
- Rename existing categories or create your own. Use your own emoji’s as icons.
- Use special categories Transfer and Savings, to keep your graphs and budget spends accurate.
- Add tags to transcations, as subcategories or to label special events or projects. For even more detailed tracking and analysis of your finances than with only categories.
- Make your own filters, providing a custom cross-section of your expenses. Use them in budgets or reports/graphs.
- Set targets on account balances, to see if you are progressing towards your financial goals.
- Periodically update account balances, especially if these accounts have no transactions.
- Optimize FiQu to suit your needs with Settings.
